Description
The City of Kirksville, Missouri, operating under a Council/Manager form of government, seeks a customer service-driven, tech-savvy leader to be their next Human Resources Director. The successful candidate will have experience in leading human resource management practices and be capable of developing human resource policies. The Director will work with City departments to ensure sound and fact-based human resource decisions. The Director with assistance from one full-time Human Resource Generalist works to meet the needs of the City’s human assets of 165 full-time employees serving across 12 departments. The HR focus areas include recruitment and selection, benefits administration, employee relations, employee development, employee medical services, and human resources information and data management.

Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, conflict management, or related field and five (5) years of progressive experience managing human resources programs in the public or private sector, which must include time as a director or assistant director of HR, division manager of HR functions, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
